Six Simple-Cycle Combustion Turbine Electric Generating Units

The facility will install Pratt & Whitney FT-8 turbines in a twin-engine configuration (Swift-Pac). The FT-8 technology uses a gas turbine at each end of a double-ended electric generator. Therefore, the emissions from the six combustion turbines will exhaust through twelve independent stacks that are 60 feet tall. The two turbines associated with each FT-8 do not have to do not have to operate simultaneously. The double-ended configuration allows for greater generation efficiency during partial load usage.

NOx Emissions Control: The NOx emissions will be controlled using a water injection system. De-mineralized water will be provided by a mobile facility during scheduled visits to the facility.

CO Emissions Control: The CO will be controlled using high temperature oxidation catalysts. The catalyst bed will be located in the exhaust stack perpendicular to the exhaust gas flow.
